Lesson 5
a) Children
paired up.
On large sheets
of brown paper, one student laid down while the other one traced them.
They then made labels of the external body parts that they knew and stuck
them on in the appropriate place.
Each group displayed and shared the body parts.
As children shared I collated the information onto a poster we had of
the human body.
b) In the next session, partners swapped over and traced the other partner.
This time
they collated the internal body organs.
We had a body in our Library that had internal organs in it. I had them
on display in the classroom for children to pull apart and play with.
We discussed the different organs inside the body and their purpose.
