Context: We have a school garden for native plants. Students are involved in the care and planting. The school demographic is low socio-economic, with many single parent families. Classes are composite of mixed ability.

Key Idea: Students pose questions and seek explanations about the internal & external features of living things to better understand the supports of life in particular environments.
