Quality Science

Online Resources for Science Teachers

These resources are examples of teaching and learning strategies, or units of work, developed by South Australia teachers in conjunction with the South Australian Science Teachers Association.

Each unit has been developed as an example of constructivism in the classroom and make reference to the SACSA Framework and its components, including the integration of Essential Learnings and Key Competencies in classroom activities.

The purpose of this resource is to help other teachers in SA to adapt and develop their own resources, to suit their particular teaching environment. Rather than simply 'copy and use' these resources, we encourage teachers to take note of the context in which they were developed, the methodologies used, and to understand the 'why' of each activity - not just the 'what and how'.
