Woodville High School celebrated Science Week under the national theme “Decoding the Universe.” The program provided students with opportunities to engage in a wide range of activities designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving.

Each morning began with an online quiz in home groups, encouraging students to test their knowledge and start the day with a focus on discovery. Throughout recess and lunch, the STEM space hosted a series of engaging activities. The first activity “What’s in the Container?” allowed students to use their scientific instincts to figure out what was in the 6 unknown containers. Thursday proved to be a highlight, with the school gathering on the music lawns to witness the Year 7 Egg Drop Challenge, alongside sessions in the VR Room where students were able to explore immersive digital environments. The week concluded on Friday with the reveal of the containers, followed by an escape room that challenged students to collaborate and think critically under pressure.

Science Week was an excellent celebration of innovation and inquiry, and we thank all staff and students who contributed to making the week such a success.
