Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary Teacher Open Day
Date: Saturday 17 November
Location: Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary - 47 Stock Rd, Mylor SA 5153
Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary in collaboration with SASTA is proud to present our first Teacher Open Day! Teachers that book into this event through SASTA will have free admission on the day and a fully guided 3-hour session with Warrawong guides. The aim is to introduce Warrawong to you and showcase what an amazing excursion venue Warrawong would be.
You will be given a teacher pack with all the information you need to book your camp, excursion or incursion with us. This information includes the facilities available, curriculum links, available shows and interactive hands-on sessions, camps and more.
You will then do a guided walk of the park finishing with one of our spectacular animal shows. At Warrawong we aim to educate through 'edu-tainment'. You will find that your students will be having such a fun and memorable time holding enormous pythons, meeting stunning peregrine falcons, and feeding sweet little squirrel gliders, that they won't even realise they are learning!
We encourage you to bring your families along to the open day and they will receive a 50% discount on the admission price on the Teacher Open Day. They can wander around the sanctuary, take part in some animal handling, and then join you for the animal show. There is also a lovely café if you wish to have lunch or coffee at the end of your visit.
Teachers and families are to make their own way to Warrawong Sanctuary.
Please note: each session is limited to 30 participants
