The new Stage 1 Chemistry curriculum will be discussed for implementation in 2017.
The presenter will review the key content changes as well as offering advice on structuring a program for the course and assessment design. Teachers will be actively involved in discussing exemplars of assessments and programs and have the opportunity to design for their own context. The exemplar resources will be provided to all participants.
Participants will also be shown how to effectively incorporate Science as a Human Endeavour into both the program content and assessment.
