Ever wondered what it’s like to work at a museum? Scientific discoveries are made every day but how do we learn about them? Online articles, podcasts… and Museums!

Museums are more than just places to visit, they're vibrant spaces where science is brought to life and shared with the community.

This career panel offers a unique opportunity for high school students to hear directly from staff at the South Australian Museum. Learn about the diverse career pathways that lead to working in a museum, and how these professionals help connect science with modern audiences.

Designed especially for Year 10–12 students considering a future in science, the session includes a moderated panel discussion with time for pre-submitted questions and a chance to ask any further questions.

The session will conclude with an opportunity for students to work in groups to have their say on the scientific topics and engagement methods which are relevant to them as the next generation of science enthusiasts.
