A range of new and updated classroom resources are now available from PIEFA to support teaching and learning about Australia’s grains industry across primary and secondary year levels.

Sustainable Solutions: Solving Australian Grain Industry Challenges

Years 7–10

This three-part, curriculum-aligned resource introduces students to the sustainability challenges facing Australia’s grains industry. Through inquiry-based learning, students investigate real-world issues and explore solutions related to the production of cereals, pulses and oilseeds.

Winter Wheat and Summer Sunflowers

Foundation – Year 2

This four-lesson classroom resource introduces young learners to Australia’s grain industries through a focus on winter wheat and summer sunflowers. Students explore plant characteristics, life cycles and the role these crops play in Australia’s environment.

The resource has also been adapted into an interactive eLearning course, hosted on PIEFA’s Primezone Academy platform, supporting a range of learning styles through videos, activities and guided learning experiences.

Free Super Seed Kit

Bring hands-on learning into your classroom with the Super Seed Kit, designed to support practical investigations of agricultural seeds.

Each kit includes:
