The Adelaide University Enviornment Institute are launching their new ecoFuturists podcast!

Hosted by Environment Institute Director, Professor Andy Lowe, ecoFuturists is more than just a conversation: it’s a platform for conversation, bringing together people with fresh perspectives, innovative solutions, and a shared commitment to a sustainable tomorrow.

This year, the lineup includes guests from all around the world and from a range of disciplines and research backgrounds. From examining where the Harmful Algal Bloom came from and what we can do next, to exploring what it means to be a 'punk gardener', this ecoFuturists season showcases some of the best and brightest environmental work around the globe.

To kick things off, we start with an engaging and insightful discussion on the history and ongoing impacts of H5N1 bird flu. With esteemed guests, Professor Chris Daniels (Chair of Green Adelaide) and A/Professor Wayne Boardman (wildlife veterinarian and expert on zoological disease; Environment Institute member), we explore what bird flu is, where it came from, and the role that citizen science can play in protecting our incredible wildlife during this panzootic.

The first episode will go live on September 9th on Spotify. Listen here
