Paula has been a Stage 2 Physics teacher since emigrating to Adelaide in 2007. She has led a number of SASTA workshops and been an active member of the SACE reference group.
Michael has taught Physics in South Australia and Victoria since 2005. He has been involved in professional development and assessments for SASTA since 2014.

Description
This workshop will review the content and depth of topic 3.4 The Standard Model. It will focus on:
- Conceptualising the Standard Model
- Use of conservation laws
- Particle composition
- Mass – energy relationship
Resources will be provided and participants will be involved in teaching and learning strategies for this topic.
Intended Audience: Teachers currently / intending to teach Stage 2 Physics
Participants will be working through problems within this topic and should bring pens/paper/calculator/notes.
