As a professional association SASTA now has around 500 full-time members with the bulk of the membership coming from current and retired science teachers (primary, secondary and tertiary) and laboratory staff.
SASTA's members are the life and blood of SASTA. Many members choose to help SASTA achieve it's goals by volunteering their time, services and expertise to help out at major events including Science Conferences and the Oliphant Science Awards.
At the AGM members vote other members onto committees that direct SASTA's activities in a way that best promotes science education in our state. As these committees are made up of members and current teachers, they have relevant first hand experience they can draw from, in order to help maximise SASTA's benefit to you!
